In the not-so-distant past, traditional medicine often relied on rituals to treat illnesses of unknown origin.
This method of medicine in the Middle East dates back several thousand years. A tradition that, although rare, has been continuing so far.
With a glance at this tradition, I started to focus on a series entitled “Healing” a few years ago.
I used the combination of letters and the embedded energy as a visual medicine to solve the problems of the human soul.
“Rise” is trying to get away and be seen.
Letters and words are trying hard to push aside and open up space to be seen. This effort has been likened to sparks of hope reaching the end of the frame.
Additionally, the less-seen technique of combining carpets and kilims has been employed in the execution of this work, showcasing this piece as a unique artwork.
